This was my argument in the past, for it being acceptable for me to play a certain military tank videogame -- flyordie.com's 'Tanx' game  -- while professing to be a Buddhist:

... the game does not have even virtual images of people being killed, but just virtual tanks getting destroyed. There is no physical killing, it's just a virtual game.
