My second Tanx memory: The unofficial result (not official) is I am in 1st place in today's Tanx tournament.

This is the second Tanx tournament I participated in since returning to Tanx on Thursday, September 5, 2019 (I skipped the three weeks between these two tournaments: the weeks of the Classic, Desert, and Mars arenas tournaments). Like I said, I was in 1st place, but the result has not become official yet:

BEFORE TODAY, I HAVE NEVER EVER GOT A 1ST PLACE TANX TOURNAMENT WIN EVER IN MY LIFE (as far as I know).

THIS TOOK ABOUT FOUR YEARS TO HAPPEN, SINCE I BEGAN MY QUEST THAT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS WEEKLY TANX TOURNAMENT (THAT'S ALL I'LL SAY). UP TO TODAY, ONLY 2ND PLACE FINISHES WAS THE BEST I COULD DO. BUT TODAY THE CONDITIONS WERE RIGHT FOR IT, FOR ONE THING, I GUESS.

4th memory from World of Tanks: I returned to World of Tanks.

Today is Thursday, September 26, 2019. I returned to the online videogame World of Tanks over a month ago, I think it was, though I have the exact date somewhere else, but don't want to go look for it and divulge that information. I was away about 7 and a 1/2 months up to the time I returned.

I would not recommend videogaming if it harms your life. I found a way to play videogames without it harming my life like in the past, before I quit (then returned now).

Just one capture of a game I was in two days ago (a low results game for me). (CLICK ON CAPTURES TO SEE FULL VIEW):




As you can see from the capture, I am known publicly by my nick 'World_War_1_and_2'.

Now, below are some captures of a different game's results, which I played on September 18, 2019 (8 days ago) according to the files' date stamps, where I was the top scorer in that game -- I only have captures of after the game (the results shown after the game, the garage with the tank before and after repairs, and the performance characteristics of the tank), no captures of what was happening while I was playing that specific game (unlike the capture above of yesterday's game while I was in the game):

My first Tanx memory: The unofficial result (not official) is I am 2nd place for my first Tanx tourney in about 12-14 months I was away from the game.

Today is September 5, 2019:

My first flyordie.com Tanx tournament in about 13 months (about 12 months at least, and about 14 months at most, I guess; the dates of the last results before I returned today, were in July or August of 2018, I am guessing (these results have been replaced with the new results from the tournament of today)). It was snow arena this week. As always, the tournament lasts for 1 hour.

I am the 'life & nature' player nick in the copy & paste of the Tanx tournament results.

Before the tournament, I bought a one year subscription to flyordie.com to be able to participate in their tournaments -- this Tanx tournament, specifically.

The unofficial result (not official -- have to wait about, at most, one week usually, before it may become official) is I am 2nd place.

I only solo trained (in empty arenas, password locked so stopping others from entering my arena -- snow arena and classic arena) for about 10 to 15 minutes before this tournament, and got 2nd place in this tournament that followed my solo training. And before I trained those 10 to 15 minutes before the tournament, I was away 12 to 14 months from the tournaments, and also maybe never training in any real serious way, or in any way maybe; and maybe more, not even playing the game regularly, or at most a few visits where I actually logged into the lobby or an arena, if at all -- I cannot remember -- in all those 12 to 14 months.

Now I checked what comprises Sutta Nipata:

To make a long story short: I don't think it is from the Sutta Nipata.

( Also, in my searching, I found 'SN' stands for Samyutta Nikaya, while 'Sn' stands for Sutta Nipata. Tiltbillings wrote 'SN', so he might have meant Samyutta Nikaya:

I noticed on that page -- I boldface the pertinent part:

S i 37 looks like possibly something to do with tiltbillings's 'SN I, 38'.

So I clicked it. And scrolled and saw -- I boldface different pertinent parts:

Kiṃ su saṃsāramāpādi kiṃ su tassa parāyaṇanti.

So the [PTS Page 038] stands for Pali Text Society or something to do with the Pali text, maybe. And it's on page 38 of that. Tiltbillings had 'SN I, 38'. Looking at the Pali, I saw the words samsara and kamma. Tiltbillings's quote had the words samsara and kamma in it, too ('This being is bound to samsara, kamma is his means for going beyond'). I may have found it!

I saw just that Pali did not give the whole meaning of tiltbillings's quote ('This being is bound to samsara, kamma is his means for going beyond'). To make a long story short, I think it could be tiltbillings giving his interpretation of some lines all found on that PTS page 38. I also give the English translation I got at SUTTACENTRAL for the Pali:

In my opinion, is his summary of sections 57 to 59 as found on page 38 of PTS. Those sections 57 to 59 as found on page 38 of PTS translated into English (by Bhikkhu Sujato) are:

57. Gives Birth (3rd)

“What gives birth to a person?
What do they have that runs about?
What enters transmigration?
What is their destiny?”

“Craving gives birth to a person.
Their mind is what runs about.
A sentient being enters transmigration.
Deeds are their destiny.”

58. Deviation

“What’s declared to be a deviation?
What is ending day and night?
What’s the stain of celibacy?
What’s the waterless bath?”

“Lust is declared to be a deviation.
Youth is ending day and night.
Women are the stain of celibacy,
to which this generation clings.

EDIT: If you were looking for the Pali source, I gave it:

“Taṇhā janeti purisaṃ,
cittamassa vidhāvati;
Satto saṃsāramāpādi,
kammaṃ tassa parāyanan”ti.

Maybe tiltbillings translated "parāyanan” (or whatever; I don't know how to read Pali) as 'going beyond', while Sujato and Bodhi both translate it as 'destiny'.

I think -- but I could be wrong -- tiltbillings specifically meant Nibbana when he said 'going beyond', while I think Bodhi when he said 'destiny', meant it could be a destiny of just another rebirth, or instead for some others, the attainment of Nibbana. Sujato might have just meant just another rebirth when he said 'destiny', or could have meant the same thing as Bodhi.

If what I say is really the situation, I don't know who is correct: tiltbillings, one of the monks, or both of the monks.

Because I did not know what "parāyanan" was all about until I reread your question post, and read this in coincidentally a presently discussed question right now, called 'Nibbana', I had answered with my opinion it was tiltbillings giving a summary of 57 to 59 of page 38:

The noble eightfold path has a clearly defined and very specific final goal (pariyosāna), a precise destination (parāyana). This goal is the elimination of passion, the elimination of aggression, and the elimination of delusion.

So, my interpretation of tiltbillings's quote may be wrong if he was just translating 57 on page 38, translating "parāyanan” as 'going beyond' (rather than 'destiny', like Sujato and Bodhi did).

(Or else it could still be right if tiltbillings was actually summarizing 57 to 59 on page 38, as I previously said, but that is unlikely.)

Now, about the MN 60:

If you want to understand it like I did, read that sutta in its entirety, and the notes Bhikkhu Bodhi gives for it (I think the notes are at the back of the book), from his Wisdom Publications edition of it. I bought the book, not the ebook, although you might want to buy the ebook if you want it right away:
